Light to medium roasted to enhance the delicate notes of blueberry, fine milk chocolate and vanilla butter-caramel candy.  

Santa Luz estate is located 4km north east of El Tuma in the Matagalpa department of Nicaragua.  The farm is 158 hectares with 101 dedicated to Rainforest Alliance certified coffee growing and the remaining 57 remaining as beautiful woodlands.  The farm is 700-900 masl and has bourbon, caturra and catuai varietals of arabica coffee.

The coffee beans are naturally processed.  First there is selective hand picking of very ripe beans, then a long slow drying process occurs in two stages. Natural lots from Santa Luz have exotic black fruit like tastes, hence Blueberry Candy.

The farm is rainforest alliance certified which means they support coffee farmers by providing training in climate-smart and regenerative growing practices that boost yields and incomes; by connecting them with responsible markets; and by promoting the human rights of those working in the coffee sector.
