Step 2: Log In or Sign Up

Here’s how to access your account: If You Already Have a Bean Shop Account: (Tip: If you had an account with us on the old website, you will need to create a new one, click on Sign Up ) Click on Log In . Use the email address you’ve always used to place orders with us. If you don’t remember your password, click Forgot Password to reset it. (Tip: Remember to check your junk folder if the email does not come through.) If You Don’t Have a Bean Shop Account: Click on Sign Up . Enter the email address you’ve used to place orders with us. Create a password and complete the sign-up process.

Step 3: Check Your Rewards Points

Once logged in, your rewards points should automatically appear in your account.

Step 4: If You Don’t See Your Points

Check the email address: Make sure you’re using the same email address you used for the previous rewards system. Merged accounts: If you’ve merged accounts in the past (e.g., family accounts), your points may be linked to an older or different email address. If your points are still missing, contact us at hello@thebeanshop.com and we’ll assist you.

Step 5: Redeem Your Points for a Discount Code

In your rewards account, choose the option to redeem points. Select the reward or discount you’d like to claim. Once redeemed, a unique discount code will be generated for you.

Step 6: Apply the Discount Code at Checkout

Copy the discount code from your rewards account. Go to your shopping basket and proceed to checkout. Paste the discount code into the Discount Code field at checkout. Ensure the discount has been applied before completing your order. If the Discount Doesn't Apply Double-check that the code is copied correctly and pasted into the correct field. Please double-check between 'O' (letter) and '0' (zero). Copy-pasting the code is recommended for accuracy. Ensure the code is still valid and has not expired. Make sure the items in your basket meet any specific terms for using the code (e.g., minimum spend or eligible products). Points Redemption: Rewards points are converted into unique discount codes. These codes must be manually applied at checkout. Check Eligibility: Some rewards may have terms and conditions, such as specific product categories or minimum spend amounts.

These delicious decaffeinated Brazil coffee beans have notes of milk chocolate, roasted hazelnut with a red apple sweetness and a gentle citrus acidity. There is also a rich, creamy body, round mouthfeel, and a clean cocoa-sweet finish and no caffeine.

This lot comes to us from Diogo Dias Teixeira de Macedo - a fifth generation producer whose commitment to quality is anything but subtle. With an agricultural engineering background and seven placements in the prestigious Cup of Excellence, Diogo blends technical precision with deep family roots.

His family’s farm, Fazenda Recreio, spans 605 hectares, with 240 dedicated to coffee. The rest of the land supports cattle, citrus, and eucalyptus, a diversified ecosystem that reflects thoughtful stewardship rather than monoculture intensity.

Located near São Sebastião da Grama, often regarded as the birthplace of Brazil’s speciality coffee movement, Recreio has helped shape the country’s quality-driven reputation. Their excellence isn’t accidental. Since stepping in as manager in 2000, Diogo has modernised wet-processing systems, invested heavily in lot traceability, and refined every detail from harvest to export. Harvest begins in mid-May, when cherries hit peak ripeness. Due to the region’s topography, picking is done by hand over cloths, selective, and quality-focused.

Despite the tech upgrades, tradition runs deep here. Coffee has been grown by the Dias family since 1890. Back then, the farm operated like a small village, housing workers and their families in structured colônias. Recreio continues this legacy today, maintaining 68 furnished homes for staff, a rare and meaningful commitment in modern coffee production. To look after the needs of their community, the family have built a school for the children of their staff, a clinic, a church, a computer lab and a football field. They also take great care to preserve the natural resources around them, completing their UTZ certification, preserving areas of natural forest and vegetation and reclaiming nearby springs and water sources.

How will my coffee be packaged?

We use heat sealed bags with a one-way valve (to let gases escape but none in) and this will keep your coffee fresh for up to four months unopened (if you really want to keep it that long!) We use box-bottomed resealable valve bags as our default but if you want the tall non-resealable valve bags then please ask in the notes for order section. We then pack your bags of coffee into bespoke cardboard boxes. These will prevent your coffee from being damaged in transit and are 100% recyclable.

Where does The Bean Shop deliver to?

We currently deliver all over the UK and Europe. It can get a bit tricky further afield than that as it becomes increasingly difficult to keep track on the parcel's whereabouts. To be honest there is probably a coffee roaster a bit closer if you're outside Europe anyway!

How much does postage cost?

No-one really likes paying for postage but in order to avoid increasing our prices we have opted to charge a flat-rate of £3.00 for all our UK orders. This is expensive if you only buy one bag of coffee but becomes very reasonable if you order more bags. We use Royal Mail 1st class for orders up to 3 bags. For orders 4 bags and over we use DPD 48 hour delivery as a default (this option will require a signature upon delivery.)

In geographically isolated areas of the UK, DPD can take longer than 48 hours so we have added the option of paying for Royal Mail which could be more efficient.

How long will it take?

We aim to deliver your order within 48 hours of receiving it (under normal circumstances) and are often much quicker! During peak periods (i.e. Christmas) your order may take a little longer due to delays or extreme weather conditions.

If I'm not in?

For orders of 1 bag of coffee our boxes are post-box friendly so should be delivered whether or not you're in. For larger parcels, usually the delivery person will leave a card saying it has been returned to the post depot where you can collect it from. Many customers find it easier to have their coffee delivered to their place of work so that there is always someone there to accept it.
